The company’s revenue suffered a major drop in 2020 due to closure of Disneylands all over the world but reopened them in October and foresees a strong comeback. In fact, in the first fiscal quarter of 2022 the company managed to recover for the first time since its Covid losses and revenue rose by 35% compared with the same quarter last year.
At the same time, the company’s TV networks and services profited from the restrictions. Perhaps that’s why the Disney stock price recovered from the Covid dump along with the S&P index and the DIS stock mostly gets buy ratings.
